The Black & White of Birds! | ||
|
Byron Bay, on the far north coast of NSW, is blessed with some amazing birds. The Pelican, Black Swans, Little Pied Cormorant, Egrets and the Darter are water birds and have strong contrasts in their feather colors. They hang out on the rivers, creeks, estuaries and waterways, the Darter being less easily seen up close. They love to perch by the water in the sun and stretch out their enormous wings to dry and preen. It is also the terrain of the Osprey who nest and are very skillful fishermen in the estuaries.
