A new lightbox has been published on the OzImages website by Damien Hofmeyer. A brief description follows:
This lightbox highlights a diversity of images, all of which are set of by the presence or use of plants. Vegetation is used for decorations around homes and in private and public gardens. Plants in their natural environment are stunning and are widely used when framing landscape shots. Plants in images allows the user to obtain a general feel for where those shots were taken. Nothing screams Australia more than a Xanthorrhoea, Canada more than the Maple leaf or the ocean more than seaweed.

Budgerigars (Budgies) in Outback Australia.
Wild Budgies in their thousands are seen here at a bore fed waterhole in outback Northern Territory, Australia. Each morning they swarm into a huge flock and land on the waterhole to drink and then take off after only a few seconds of drinking. During this time they are most vulnerable to their predators. Peregrin and Black Falcons along with a Collared Sparrowhawk and even Whistling Kites took part in the hunt. But the huge flock of Budgies were an awesome sight and these are only a few images. Others can be viewed through searching or viewing my complete collection from my Personal Web Page area. ... More

Water - floods, rivers, coasts
A new lightbox has been published on the OzImages website by Damien Hofmeyer. A brief description follows:
Marine and fresh water plays a vital role in our lives. In this series water is represented in many forms. Water as rain has flooded roads and filled valleys. Water is used as a work platform on which peoples livelihoods depend. Water is represented as habitat in which animals live, as picturesque through patterns on sand, as dynamic through tides and as a medium on which humans recreate. And water is still represented as as expendable through humans continual willingness to pollute it.
