Choosing and Using Stock PhotosLicensing Images From The OzImages Stock Photo LibraryOzImages offers commercial photo buyers direct access to our stock photographers, so you can license images directly from the source, avoiding research fees and agency commissions. While most stock photography libraries will try to restrict this kind of direct contact, we encourage our stock photo buyers to make contact with those photographers who shoot the kinds of stock photos that they regularly need. All photos on the OzImages stock library are available for immediate rights-managed (RM) licensing for any reasonable commercial purpose. Royalty free (RF) licensing can be discussed with the photographer but generally a more specific RM license will be more economical. 3 Step RM Stock Photography LicensingStep 1. Find The Photo You Want. You can use our keyword photo search, or browse the library by category, to locate images of interest. Add images of interest to a lightbox. Step 2. Request A Quote. When you've got everything you need, open your Lightbox Manager and click the Request A Quote button. Complete the form that opens in as much detail as possible. Submit it and we'll get right back to you with a no obligation quote ASAP. Step 3. Accept The Quote. As soon as you accept the quote, the photographer will contact you to arrange delivery and payment. Our 'Direct Contact' system might see ma little different to begin with, but it really is quite simple. Most photo sales go through in an hour or two, and the savings more than compensate for the extra 'quote' step. Remember that you can go directly to the same photographer for future photo requirements, now that you know they shoot the subjects you need! RM Licensing, Permissions and FeesWhen you license an image as RM, the photographer is granting you permission to use the photo for a very specific purpose, as outlined in the license. Usually it will specify things like reproduction sizes, print runs, duration, region of use etc. Generally it will be non-exclusive, unless you request otherwise. Any further use of the image beyond what's specified in the RM license needs to be approved by the photographer and will usually require an additional license and fee. Licenses are always granted subject to payment in full. If payment is not received according to the terms of the license, then any use of the image is considered unauthorized and a breach of the photographers copyright. As such the unauthorized use could result in legal action to recover the unpaid fees and punitive damages. Please ensure you read all licensing documentation carefully and clarify any problems/questions before the image is published. Our photographers are working professionals and expect fair and reasonable payment for the use of their stock photos. So please be aware, there are no free stock images on this website. If you're looking for free or super-cheap photos, you are in the wrong place!
